Blue ray I've heard that both blockbuster and hollywood video are going to go exclusively blue ray.

Also blue ray discs hold more data, are harder to scratch, and are slightly better in picture

who knows, probably the one with the cheapest prices since people are still very attached to regular DVD´s. Remember what happened to the laser discs and mini discs? they faded out because they were very expensive.
However, Blockbuster said it will carry only Blu Ray in over 1400 stores in the US.

The problem is that a third format is going to come out now called HD VMD (versatile multilayer disc). I read this article about it in pcworld.com check it out.
